MISO All Stars vs Nojima Stella Kanagawa
February 17, 2019
The Major Island Soccer Organization (MISO) is leading the way in Hawaii Soccer Development. On January 14th, MISO fielded an All Star Women's Team against Japan Professionals, Nojima Stella Kanagawa, at Waipio Stadium. Entry was free, but one whole side of the stadium seating was under renovation. Fans filled the open seating and cheered the women on to a 1-1 draw. The game began with a beautiful sunset and perfect weather to welcome the Japanese 3rd place finishers including several national players. Veteran World Cup star, Shinobu Ohno, showed her leadership and experience during the game. Ohno showed her humbleness greeting and signing autographs post game.
High quality soccer free for the public is helping inspire the next generation of Hawaii girls. The game also featured Hawaii's top referee candidates giving them high level experience.
We hope to continue our partnership with MISO as they lead the way in Hawaii soccer growth.
